My little Olly was acting very strange and lifeless, then he was convulsing a bunch, like having a seizure for extended period of time, then I read that hamsters get stressed so we put him in the dark room and made sure it was quiet for him to relax. He stopped his convulsing after a while when we checked on him, but he looked worn out and tired. I sensed that this would be his last night so we all got to say goodbye more or less. and I think he passed in his sleep peacefully because his eyes were closed and all last night during seizure he didnt close his eyes. His body was cold and hard at 9 am when I woke up and saw him this morning.
I bought him December 11, 2008 and he passed away July 5, 2010 so he was about a year and more than half old. Hamsters usually live for 2-3 years so not sure why Olly passed so soon.
